Is moral progress possible? What does this have to do with Cultural Relativism?
Normally a Cultural Relativist would not believe that moral progress is possible. Since having a moral progress indicates that there is an ideal moral at the end. If there was a change within that culture, that would mean that someone initiated the change, and you can not judge another culture nor judge your own culture in cultural relativism.
I personally think that moral progress is possible. We all learn from our surroundings, there is no instant knowledge that we receive when we are first created. We decide what is “right” and “wrong” from what we observe around us. By observing and deciding we are set in a path in search of a moral idea.
